Industrial condenser dryer DH 60
Extremely effective and robust dehumidifier with powerful, air circulating, double-flow radial fan
Protection against moisture at its best
The DH 60 is perfectly fit for fully automatic, hygrostat-controlled continuous dry keeping applications, for its distinctive German industrial design immediately suggests that this is a professional industrial dehumidifier originally produced by Trotec, developed and manufactured according to the highest of quality standards in Germany.
Upon delivery this industrial condenser dryer comes prepared for wall mounting, it automatically regulates the humidity to an ideal level at which corrosion, condensation and mould stand no chance and impresses with a high dehumidification performance even at low temperatures without exception. Its professional hot gas automatic defrost system, which operates based on the bypass procedure, permits the application to a range of 5 °C – ideally suitable for use in cold halls or storage facilities.
Low in maintenance, yet highly effective – ideal for continuous operation
Consistently designed with a close focus on preserving values, this corrosion-protected construction made of powder-coated, galvanized sheet steel accommodates an industrial condenser dryer of maximum durability. Combined with its CDC-coated heat exchanger it renders the professional dehumidifier DH 60 extremely resistant to environmental influences – even in especially reactive air environments containing a high percentage of solvents, chlorine or salt.
The combination of high efficiency level and low-maintenance design predestines the DH 60 for fully automatic, hygrostat-controlled permanent drying applications in numerous fields of application. Due to the autonomous recirculation operation the device can even be subsequently integrated in virtually any working environment.
An effective procedure for maximum profitability
In high-volume recirculation operation this industrial dryer withdraws the major part of the humidity from the air in keeping with the target humidity level preselected via the hygrostat. A high level of efficiency is ensured by the double-flow radial fan and the high-performance compression refrigeration system of the DH 60.
The dry air supplied to the room is simultaneously heated by the process with the result that the input of conventional heat and ventilation energy can be substantially reduced. Owing to a coefficient of performance (COP) of 2.9 the DH 60 is able to generate 2.9 kW of heat output from every kilowatt used during dehumidification.
In addition, the DH 60 comes equipped with an automatic hot gas defrost system operating based on the bypass procedure. To make sure the evaporator is protected from frost and kept clear of ice, a special solenoid valve opens briefly and redirects the hot refrigerant from the compressor directly to the evaporator (instead of to the condenser) via a bypass.
For this reason, the DH 60 requires only very short defrost phases – ideal for an effective dehumidification in low-temperature surroundings such as unheated rooms. Furthermore, it improves the performance level and thus increases the net overall equipment effectiveness of this dehumidifier.
Diverse application possibilities
Unless effectively controlled, humidity can lead to manifold problems for production processes, furniture and equipment or stored goods. An ideal humidity regulation does not just prevent rust, rot, material decomposition or a reduced quality in processing and storing goods, its also a reliable protection against mould growth. When mounted to the wall the DH 60 can be used for very different fields of application including:
- Humidity regulation in staff rooms, changing rooms, recreation and break rooms
- Dry keeping of changing rooms, fitness studios and store rooms for biker gear or skiing equipment
- Constant humidity levels in car pools, workshops, on test stands or in production halls
- Dehumidification in archives, libraries or for your collections
- Dehumidification of water processing facilities and pump stations to prevent condensate formation on pipes and pumps
- Humidity regulation when storing natural products, for the quality assurance in timber yards or when storing raw tobacco
- Preventing corrosion in electric control centres, boiler plants, turbines and pipe systems in power plants or when storing car body shells and metal components
- Humidity regulation in computer centres, control rooms etc. Humidity regulation in the food industry, e.g. in cheese dairies or for the production of confectionery
Well-orchestrated components
The DH 60 exclusively houses high-quality components that are particularly well-matched to work together, all guaranteeing durability and a long lifetime.
Evaporator and condenser of the DH 60, for instance, are provided with a cathodic dip coating (CDC) that is resistant to solvents and corrosion as well as to acids and alkalis.
Accordingly, the high-performance refrigerant compression system is extremely resistant to environmental influences and guarantees a high dehumidification performance in continuous operation – even in cold surroundings.
The DH 60'S powerful, air circulating, double-flow radial fan certainly makes for a good match. This double-flow fan is driven by a smoothly running, durable AC motor. With a corresponding rotational speed of its forward curved blades the device can ensure a high air flow rate in any situation. By means of a selector switch the fan can be set to run in continuous operation ensuring maximum air flow rates or be activated or deactivated via hygrostat control as an alternative to save energy.
The sophisticated complete equipment of the DH 60 renders additional equipment options virtually obsolete. However, should you want to discharge the accumulating condensate to an elevated area, the device can also be supplied with an integrated condensate pump as order option.
In the DH 60 H version also available with heating function
For operational environments without heating, the air in which is not only to be kept dry but also warm, the industrial condenser dryer DH 60 is also available as DH 60 H version with an integrated additional heating in thermostat operation. Thanks to a heating capacity of 2.8 kW, the dry air blown out into the room can also be heated at the same time on a large-volume basis in this way.
Apart from the integrated hygrostat for humidity control, the DH 60 H version is equipped with an additional thermostat for this purpose, allowing for the variable preselection of the desired room temperatures between 0 and 40 °C. Heating then takes place automatically.
In contrast to the CEE-7/7 connector variant of the DH 60 standard version, the power connection of the DH 60 H is implemented via plug-in terminal.
Make use of our best practice industrial services
Since every industrial undertaking has characteristic process flows, installations and facilities, every air treatment solution demands case-specific device configurations. All in all, the combined effects of air currents, humidity conditions and temperature fluctuations are often hard to calculate on a purely theoretical basis, e.g. in airlock areas or on conveying paths. The consequence: Unnecessary additional costs due to an overestimated demand or – even worse – solutions not working sufficiently in real life.
