Cleaning air conditioning systems by means of air filtration

Air cleaners of the TAC series: always a TAC better than the legal requirements

The Trotec Group is an experienced specialist in air purification

Clean room air at the workplace and in public buildings is not only legally required, it also contributes significantly to daily well-being. Cleaning air conditioning systems regularly helps to ensure that the air remains pure. To filter out suspended particles as required, service companies will find the suitable air cleaner with a HEPA filter for your system.

As regards the equipment for air duct cleaning, no false economies should be made, because AC systems which are cleaned professionally and regularly work more efficiently and thus reduce the operating costs. Ventilation and air conditioning companies as well as chimney sweeps use brushing machines for cleaning. They have to make sure that dissolved dirt such as dust particles, fungal spores, pollen, viruses and bacteria are sucked out of the air duct system without contaminating the room air.

With the Trotec Group, cleaning companies have a partner at their side who is experienced in the market, identifies their specific needs and requirements and does not only offer the necessary technology, but also develops and manufactures it at its own production facilities in Germany. Trotec has four air cleaners on offer which are the ideal equipment for cleaning service providers: the two light and compact devices TAC 1500 and TAC 3500 for smaller air ducts, and the two more powerful devices TAC 5000 and TAC 6500 for larger air ducts. All TAC air cleaners are suited for cleaning ventilation and air conditioning systems in the industrial, craft and business sectors, in public buildings, hospitals, medical areas and even in cleanroom environments. Thanks to the Vario-shift function the mobile air cleaners allow for application-oriented use of 1 to 3 filter stages and positioning of the fan and the HEPA filter.

Quality assurance: Particle counter PC200 documents cleaning performance

By the way, in addition to the video inspection systems used by cleaning companies, the particle counter PC200 from Trotec’s range of measuring devices is ideal for checking the fine particulate concentration. The PC200 is an ergonomic, hand-held measuring device with integrated photo and video function for air particle monitoring and climate data logging. The device allows to record the fine particulate concentration in the air exiting the air ducts before and after every measuring operation. The data can afterwards be transferred to a PC quickly and easily via a USB port. This way, the success of every cleaning operation in air conditioning systems is documented in detail.

Future-oriented technology – better than any standard

The air cleaners of the TAC series are a safe investment for cleaning companies or chimney sweeps. They meet all currently applicable hygiene standards regarding air duct cleaning and air filtration in terms of cleaning and maintenance. Moreover, the devices are already equipped for the more stringent requirements of the future:

  • DIN 1946-4: Cleaning of ventilation systems in hospitals
  • DIN 15780: Cleanliness of ventilation systems
  • VDI 6022: Hygiene requirements for ventilation and air-conditioning systems
  • § 4 ArbStättV: Removal of impurities in air conditioning systems
  • Future directives of the (German) employer's liability insurance association regarding the use of portable air cleaners
