The ambitious handymen that wants to achieve great things in his work at home or for his hobby, needs accordingly precise measuring instruments. Thanks to laser measurements the BD16 determines the exact measures of distances, areas and volumes without the slightest effort and at the speed of light.
Hence, the tasks of measuring as well as correctly and thus cost-effectively calculating floor space or wall surfaces and also room volume are mere child's play for the laser distance measuring device.
Its measuring accuracy with a deviation of only 3 millimetres and a maximum range of about 40 metres make the BD16 an ideal tool for almost every craftsman and do-it-yourselfer.
And yet the precise distance measuring device can offer even more, e.g. the MIN and MAX tracking functions as well as 'Pythagoras' and 'Pythagoras times two' – enabling i.a. indirect calculations of distances or heights.
Can be used as spirit level thanks to bubble
Since this is a question of measuring precisely in a horizontal line, the measuring device is further provided with a spirit level function implemented in form of a bubble – a useful feature, yet by no means standard.
All further equipment features of the practice-optimised distance measuring device BD16 also demonstrate first-class functionality and easy handling characteristics. This includes the automatic switch-off function: after 30 seconds for the laser, after 3 minutes in case of the measuring instrument as a whole.
Moreover, the measuring device scores with a large illuminated display with white, inverted, easy-to-read digits and a robust dust- and splash-proof housing compliant with IP54. This is particularly advantageous in rough operating conditions. The practical belt clip ensures that the measuring device is always at hand whenever needed.
