There's no place like home. Provided that the indoor climate is not impaired by an excessive humidity level and associated moisture problems such as mould, mildew stains or dampness. The design dehumidifier TTK 73 E helps you to avoid such risks. The combination of a metallic effect finish and pure white device appearance makes the design device an absolute eye-catcher. The shiny bluish metallic effect varies depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle. Moisture problems occur anywhere in the house or flat where it is damp or cold. This is where mould and mites grow. The mobile dehumidifier TTK 73 E eliminates harmful moisture before it becomes a problem, and thus creates a permanently healthy room climate.

Healthy living and working with the right humidity level

An optimally regulated room humidity of about 40 to 60 % prevents the formation of unhealthy mould cultures and moisture accumulations. In addition, the growth of dust mites and allergens is reduced. Another advantage for the room climate: unsightly suspended particles such as dust and animal hair are reliably removed from the room air by the integrated air filter. The large 3.5-litre water collection container and an impressive dehumidification performance of up to 24 l/24 h offer sufficient capacity for dehumidifying rooms sized up to 50 m² or 125 m³. For unattended continuous operation, the device is equipped with a hose connection at the rear to conveniently discharge the condensate extracted from the air via a hose.

Auto restart function

In case of an unexpected switch-off due to a power interruption, the auto restart function (or “Memory function”) makes the device restart with the previously selected setting as soon as the power supply has been restored. This makes the dehumidifier also suitable for combined use with a timer.

Gentle laundry drying with dehumidifiers

Apart from ambient air dehumidification, a dehumidifier can be conveniently used for drying laundry – either in an assisting way or as a full replacement for a conventional dryer. The laundry drying function (also referred to as clothes drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outside.

Dehumidifiers offer the benefit of drying the laundry as gently as in the nature outside. Colours retain their brilliance and the life span of clothes is longer than with conventional dryers – and all this with a substantially lower power consumption.

Furthermore, even sensitive materials such as wool, silk or synthetic fibres can be dried without any problems. In contrast to pure air drying, the laundry feels much softer and more pleasant on your skin.

Laundry drying can also be performed with dehumidifiers without an additional laundry drying function. The target value of the air humidity must then be set in accordance with the desired residual humidity:

Cupboard dry: 46 % of relative air humidity

Iron dry: 58 % of relative air humidity

Skin dry: 65 % of relative air humidity

Propane (R290) as environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers

Every year, several million tonnes of environmentally harmful CO₂emissions (greenhouse gases) are emitted into the air by synthetic refrigerants. For this reason, the utilization of alternative refrigerants has become one of our key objectives. The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound belonging to the group of hydrocarbons. Unlike synthetic refrigerants the environmentally friendly propane (R290) comes with neither ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) nor a noteworthy greenhouse effect (GWP = 3).

Additional bonus for the environment: Owing to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane (R290) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant thereby additionally reducing your energy costs.

Extensive features for optimum humidity

Four operating modes, three fan stages and a variety of comfort functions make the dehumidifier TTK 73 E a universal drying unit for a wide range of different applications.

Automatic operation: With its practical automatic mode, the TTK 73 E detects whether the room humidity level is in the optimum range or too high. In automatic mode, the air humidity is measured continuously depending on the current room temperature. The device adjusts the dehumidification intensity fully automatically in this operating mode and always keeps the humidity level within the ideal range to provide for optimum room air.

Continuous operation: Condensation of water on walls is one of the most common causes of moisture damage. For instance because water penetrates the basement from outside through an insufficiently insulated wall. Or because the ventilation condition is not sufficient to lead harmful humidity to the outside. The TTK 73 E is equipped with a continuous operation modefor keeping such environments permanently dry. If this programme is selected, the room air is permanently dehumidified at maximum power.

Night mode: Stuffy nights in summer can deprive you of sleep. In addition to the moisture emitted by breathing, sweating also increases the humidity to an unhealthy level. In night mode, the TTK 73 E regulates the humidity to an optimum value at the lowest fan stage. For a good night's sleep to recharge your batteries.

Energy-efficient operation – optimally planned

There are many good reasons to switch the TTK 73 E on or off after a preset number of hours. In the bedroom, dehumidification is useful during the night – there is no need for the device to run at daytime though. Similarly, dehumidification in the office or at the workplace is only required during working hours. For these and other applications, the TTK 73 E is equipped with a programmable 24-hour timer. This allows you to preset the number of operating hours until automatic switch-on or switch-off in increments of 1 hour.

TTK 73 E – special equipment features

TTK 73 E – control panel — The control panel of the TTK 73 E is provided with a clear design and is easy to understand. The digital display shows you the current value of the relative humidity in the room, the preselected humidity value and the set number of hours of the timer.

TTK 73 E - swing function — The swing function can be switched on if desired. The air outlet flap is automatically raised and lowered so that the air current distributes evenly in the room.

TTK 73 E – filter — The easily removable air filter retains lint and animal hair and can be quickly and easily replaced, wiped or washed out.

TTK 73 E – water tank — The removable water tank has a storage capacity of 3.5 litres. The device stops automatically when the tank is full and indicates this via LED. In order to continuously drain the condensation water, a pipe can be connected on the rear of the device.

TTK 73 E – perfect for storing, easy transport — For keeping perfect order when storing the device, the cable can be wound up at the back and fastened in the "connector storage space". Thanks to the practical easy-running wheels and recessed grip, you can easily transport the TTK 73 E to any place where it is needed.

TTK 73 E – automatic mode — The automatic mode provides for a perfect feel-good ambience as current room temperature and air humidity are adjusted automatically. Depending on the temperature prevailing in the respective room, the air humidity is automatically regulated to a particularly pleasant humidity value. With hygrostat-controlled dehumidification, the compressor switches off automatically as soon as the target value (30 – 80 %) is reached. When the value is exceeded, the device is automatically activated.

TTK 73 E timer function — Use the practical timer function to switch the device on or off after a defined number of hours. The time can be programmed in increments of 1 hour (1 to 24 h). The use of the timer prevents unnecessary operating periods and allows you to adapt the dehumidification to your individual rhythm of life.

TTK 73 E – permanent mode — In the permanent mode, the TTK 73 E dehumidifies the room air in continuous operation. This is especially suitable for cellar or storage spaces which are subjected to mould formation by excess humidity. To avoid that you constantly have to drain the water tank, a condensate drain hose can be connected.

TTK 73 E – in the bathroom — In order to prevent the formation of unwelcome mould that is dangerous to your health in bathrooms, hobby rooms or on cool corners and walls exposed to dampness in the first place, we recommend to use a dehumidifier continuously in due time.

TTK 73 E – in the living room — Whether you use it at home, in the office or in the bedroom – the dehumidifier TTK 73 E is a very compact and light device in its performance class. Save electricity and money on dehumidification

With our socket hygrostat BH30 you can additionally save money when dehumidifying damp rooms or keeping rooms dry. The programmable switch is simply plugged in between the dehumidifier and socket to regulate the dehumidification process based on the measured humidity level.

Once the desired target humidity is reached, the hygrostat disconnects the device from the mains until dehumidification is required again. By switching off the compressor and fan during standby times, the device's energy consumption is noticeably reduced.

The initial acquisition costs of the BH30 will have been amortized in a minimum of time.

Moreover, many dehumidifiers only offer rough target value setting for optimum humidity. The hygrostat BH30 allows the room humidity level to be adjusted in increments of 1 % from 20 % to 90 % and thus offers significantly more precise target humidity selection.
