Comfort dehumidifier TTK 100 E
Powerful dehumidifier with a dehumidification performance of 30 litres in 24 hours for rooms with a size of up to 90 m²
which can compete with the great ones of its class when it comes to its performance
In the TTK 100 E you have a trendy dehumidifier combining a successful design with advanced operating elements.
Unlike dehumidifiers with analogous controllers for the preselection of minimum and maximum operation regardless of the unit, with the TTK 100 E you can directly enter the desired humidity value via the digital display. An integrated hygrostat implements this target fully automatic and adjusts the performance of compressor and two-staged fan.
The digital display on the clearly arranged and intuitive control panel for example shows you the current relative humidity level in the room as well as the current room temperature and the target value entered- Furthermore the device comes with a timer function, an automatic fault diagnosis system and a memory function. The integrated memory function ensures that the set humidity value and the selected operating mode are still saved after switch-off. The laundry drying function tops off the range of functions of the convenient dehumidifier. The integrated separate hose connection enables external condensation draining even in unattended continuous operation – the ideal prerequisite for continuous operation in hobby rooms or holiday homes.
Moisture in the bathroom, basement or bedroom can lead to mold. All relevant information about our comfort dehumidifiers can also be found in the product brochure. Download the PDF directly here.
Gentle laundry drying with dehumidifiers
Apart from ambient air dehumidification, a dehumidifier can be conveniently used for drying laundry – either in an assisting way or as a full replacement for a conventional dryer. The laundry drying function (also referred to as clothes drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outside.
Dehumidifiers offer the benefit of drying the laundry as gently as in the nature outside. Colours retain their brilliance and the life span of clothes is longer than with conventional dryers – and all this with a substantially lower power consumption.
Furthermore, even sensitive materials such as wool, silk or synthetic fibres can be dried without any problems. In contrast to pure air drying, the laundry feels much softer and more pleasant on your skin.
Laundry drying can also be performed with dehumidifiers without an additional laundry drying function. The target value of the air humidity must then be set in accordance with the desired residual humidity:
Cupboard dry: 46 % of relative air humidity
Iron dry: 58 % of relative air humidity
Skin dry: 65 % of relative air humidity
Propane (R290) as environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers
Every year, several million tonnes of environmentally harmful CO2-emissions (greenhouse gases) are emitted into the air by synthetic refrigerants. For this reason, the utilization of alternative refrigerants has become one of our key objectives. By using propane (R290) as refrigerant, this dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to protecting our climate.
The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound belonging to the group of hydrocarbons. Unlike synthetic refrigerants the environmentally friendly propane (R290) comes with neither ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) nor a noteworthy greenhouse effect (GWP = 3).
Additional bonus for the environment: Owing to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane (R290) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant thereby additionally reducing your energy costs.
Convenient adjustment of the desired humidity level
Indicated on the display of the TTK 100 E, in addition to the preselected room humidity value (1), are the current values of the air temperature (2) and humidity in the room (3).
If required, this comfort dehumidifier can also be controlled by the integrated timer (4) or else used in continuous operation.

Hot gas defrosting
Dehumidifiers that are designed to be used in cooler rooms are equipped with a hot gas defrost system based on the bypass procedure instead of an air circulation defrost system.
Here, the hot refrigerant gas of the compression circuit is used actively for fast and effective defrosting. As soon as ice starts to form, a special solenoid valves opens automatically and redirects the hot gas from the compressor directly to the evaporator (instead of to the condenser) via a bypass. The valve closes again after defrosting is completed so that dehumidification operation can be continued via the regular refrigerant circuit.
Unlike air circulation defrosting, hot gas automatic defrosting allows for drastically shorter defrost phases of only a few minutes, which is an essential requirement for effective dehumidification in low-temperature surroundings such as unheated rooms. After all, the actual dehumidification process only takes place when defrosting is not in progress!
For the dehumidification of unheated rooms at temperatures that can sometimes be below 15 °C, dehumidifiers with hot gas automatic are therefore always better suited and more efficient than devices with air circulation defrost function despite identical compressor performance.
At temperatures of more than 15 °C, however, the capacity of these two dehumidifier types is increasingly assimilating until being virtually identical above temperatures of approx. 18 °C.
Our recommendation for climate control:
The room thermohygrometer BZ05
Simultaneous display of room temperature, humidity level and time or date as well as an additional feel-good indication.
The design weather station BZ06
Simultaneous indication of room temperature, humidity level, date, time, weekday and symbolic weather forecast. Supplies helpful information for preventing mould growth.
