The TTK 53 E provides all functions a modern comfort dehumidifier needs. In addition, the dehumidifier impresses with another interesting extra function: using the colour LED illumination on the front, the device immediately indicates whether the humidity level is okay and within the green range.

Due to its functional design the TTK 53 E blends in with any style of furniture. At the same time its two fan stages with a dehumidification capacity of up to 16 litres per day reliably keep heated rooms sized up to 31 m² dry. On the easy-to-clean control panel with digital display you can select from the following dehumidification modes: automatic operation with a preset humidity of 55 %, hygrostat-controlled automatic dehumidification system with target value preselection between 30 and 80 % RH in steps of 5 %, continuous operation as well as a ventilation function. Amongst other things, the current relative humidity is indicated on the display.

In addition to that great diversity of functions, the TTK 53 E features a practical laundry function, a timer function, a filling level warning light to indicate a full water tank as well as an overflow protection with automatic switch-off. The integrated memory function ensures that the set humidity value and the selected operating mode are still saved after switch-off. The built-in washable air filter also cleans the air through elimination of dust and animal hair. The drainage connection allows to use the unit in unattended continuous operation.

Gentle laundry drying with dehumidifiers

Apart from ambient air dehumidification, a dehumidifier can be conveniently used for drying laundry – either in an assisting way or as a full replacement for a conventional dryer. The laundry drying function (also referred to as clothes drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outside.

Dehumidifiers offer the benefit of drying the laundry as gently as in the nature outside. Colours retain their brilliance and the life span of clothes is longer than with conventional dryers – and all this with a substantially lower power consumption.

Furthermore, even sensitive materials such as wool, silk or synthetic fibres can be dried without any problems. In contrast to pure air drying, the laundry feels much softer and more pleasant on your skin.

Laundry drying can also be performed with dehumidifiers without an additional laundry drying function. The target value of the air humidity must then be set in accordance with the desired residual humidity:

Cupboard dry: 46 % of relative air humidity

Iron dry: 58 % of relative air humidity

Skin dry: 65 % of relative air humidity

Propane (R290) as environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers

Every year, several million tonnes of environmentally harmful CO₂emissions (greenhouse gases) are emitted into the air by synthetic refrigerants. For this reason, the utilization of alternative refrigerants has become one of our key objectives. By using propane (R290) as refrigerant, this dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to protecting our climate.

The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound belonging to the group of hydrocarbons. Unlike synthetic refrigerants the environmentally friendly propane (R290) comes with neither ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) nor a noteworthy greenhouse effect (GWP = 3).

Additional bonus for the environment: Owing to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane (R290) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant thereby additionally reducing your energy costs.

TTK 53 E – optimum humidity level in the bedroom

The colour LED indicates if the humidity is okay.

The function of the colour LEDs is one of the great benefits of automatic operation. It indeed ensures that the device is switched on automatically when it exceeds 55 % and off again as soon as it falls below this threshold. However, one look at the TTK 53 E is enough to know about the humidity in the room.

The LED on the front is blue when the room humidity falls below 55 %.
It is green when the humidity is within the optimum range between 55 and 70 %.
Red means the room humidity has increased to above 70 %.

TTK 53 E – special equipment features

TTK 53 E – control panel — The operating panel of the TTK 53 E is provided with a clear design and is easy to understand. The digital display for example shows you the current relative humidity level in the room.

TTK 53 E – air filter — The easily removable air filter retains lint and animal hair and can be quickly and easily wiped or washed out.

TTK 53 E – water tank — The removable water tank has a storage capacity of 5.5 litres. The device stops automatically when the tank is full and indicates this via LED.

TTK 53 E automatic operation — The automatic operation ensures the automatic coordination of room temperature and air humidity and provides a perfect feel-good climate. Depending on the respective room temperature, the humidity level is automatically regulated to a particularly pleasant 55 %.

TTK 53 E timer function — Use the practical timer function to switch the device off after a defined number of hours (up to maximally 24 h). The timer can be programmed in steps of 1 hour (0 to 24 h). The timer prevents unnecessary operating periods and allows you to adapt the dehumidification to your individual rhythm of life.

TTK 53 E permanent mode — In the permanent mode, the TTK 53 E dehumidifies the room air in continuous operation. This is especially suitable for cellar or storage spaces which are subjected to mould formation by excess humidity. To avoid that you constantly have to drain the water tank, a condensate drain hose can be connected.

TTK 53 E in the living room — Whether in living room, bedroom or in the children's room, – with its comfort operation for the temperature-dependent automatic humidity control, the display of the relative humidity level and its laundry drying and timer functions, the dehumidifier TTK 53 E provides for a perfect indoor climate at all times.
