Sound level measuring device SL400

Professional class 2 phonometer with data logger function and ISO calibration certificate

Whether for occupational safety, preventive health care, quality management or noise control inspections – owing to its ISO calibration ex works, the integrated live logging function and the analysis software supplied as standard, the universally usable sound level measuring device SL400 is ideally suited for a professional control and monitoring of workplace, industrial and environmental noise.

As a sound level meter that complies with accuracy class 2 the SL400 guarantees that you are always perfectly equipped: be it for the documentation of machine noise, environmental noise emissions or workplace measurements.

Depending on the requirements you can use the fast/slow time weighing feature of this professional measuring device to switch over from measuring once per second (slow) to once every 125 milliseconds (fast).

Moreover the SL400 allows for a separate weighing of type A and type C frequencies. While the A frequency corresponds to the sound pressure perception of the human ear, the C frequency focusses low-frequency components of a sound.

The four-digit measuring value display of the SL400 with an additional bargraph indicator can easily be read in every environment thanks to the LCD background illumination.

Multiple features – large scope of delivery

The SL400 is further equipped with a live logging function and enough data memory to record up to 32,700 measured values. For a software-supported analysis the measured data can simply be transferred to a PC via USB.

The supplied software allows, among other things, for live recording of the measured values with real-time indication, a graphic or tabular representation of the measured values including an option to print them out as X-Y diagrams or tables, as well as a zoom function and an export possibility in Excel format.

For logging or non-stop measurements the SL400 can further be fixed to the supplied mini tripod. Thanks to the integrated mains connection and supplied power adapter, it is also possible to switch over from battery- to mains-powered operation for time-consuming long-term measurements.

Moreover, an integrated 3.5 mm jack socket provides the SL400 with connections facilities for frequency analysers or x-y plotters.

An ISO calibration certificate is already included in the SL400's scope of delivery.

And not least, the SL400 impresses with its handy design, low weight and the arrangement of keys optimized for single-handed operation – the ideal basic equipment for sound level measurements in the fields of industry, work and environmental protection.

Typical applications of the sound level measuring device SL400:

  • Noise hazard measurements for occupational safety
  • Environmental protection applications for the determination of ambient noise
  • Determination of noise sectors for noise abatement measures in enterprises and public institutions
  • Examination and selection of hearing protection devices
  • Auditing the adherence to noise protection regulations
  • Control measurements in air-conditioning and heating engineering
