Installation accessories for the connection line of PT air conditioners

The air conditioning systems of the PT series are split units consisting of a cooling unit for indoor installation and a heat exchanger for outdoor installation. Both units are connected with a 10 m long connection set, which can be joined together several times up to a total length of 30 m by means of a quick-lock coupling.

In order to implement window or door feedthroughs to the outside when installing the connection set, several accessory solutions are available:

The exclusive Trotec PlanoPT connection feedthrough allows for the installation of the PT connecting lines underneath all common interior and exterior doors which remain lockable.

To install the connection via tilted windows, even floor-to-ceiling-windows, or via patio and balcony doors, we can also recommend the AirLock door and window seal by Trotec – Europe's best-selling window seal for the combined use with comfort air conditioners. Depending on the application scenario and the window or door size, various AirLock formats are available. The PT connection set can be easily routed out through the zip opening, while the translucent AirLock material prevents warm air and insects from entering.

If the PT connection set is to be routed out via a roller shutter window, this can also be carried out with our roller shutter window shade for mobile air conditioning systems. This shutter is simply installed between the window frame and the roller shutter. The PT connection set can then be easily routed to the outside via the integrated hose opening.

Accessories for PT air-conditioners to increase the performance at higher ambient temperatures

Even if the ambient temperature exceeds the standard working range, the variable heat exchanger design of the PT-S air conditioners offer you customisation options that can be flexibly implemented!

HEX upgrade option for PT 4500 S and PT 6500 S – extension of the working range through simple heat exchanger replacement

If required, instead of the standard heat exchanger for the PT S type, the air conditioners PT 4500 S and PT 6500 S can also be flexibly combined with the more powerful heat exchanger PT S+ of the larger PT-S air conditioners. In this way, you can easily use the air conditioner even at an ambient temperature that is 4 °C higher than with the standard version, offering the decisive power reserves when they are needed!

Higher versatility by Duplex Cooling option

For all PT air conditioners, furthermore the possibility of using Duplex Cooling is provided. Instead of one heat exchanger, two heat exchangers are installed in series for each DualHex coupling on one connecting line in each case, i.e. the number of heat exchangers used is doubled. Duplex Cooling allows for a ΔT- increase of the upper working range limit value around 7 °C, which makes it possible to utilize the devices even at higher ambient temperatures, or ensures that they do not run under full load at lower temperatures.
