The powerful 1,000 W domestic water supply system TGP 1025 E with integrated pressure tank (19 litres) pumps free service water fully automatically through the entire house. The pump can easily be integrated into an existing water network and permits the economic utilization of rain or ground water regardless of a connection to the regular drinking water system.

High conveying capacity

With a conveying capacity of up to 3,300 litres per hour the pump can extract water from a pool, well or cistern so as to use it for, say, toilet flushing, the operation of a washing machine or of sprinkler systems in front yards or kitchen gardens. The compensation tank ensures a constant pressure of 3 bar within the system. Both suction and pressure connection come with a thread that has a diameter of 1'' or 3.33 cm (G1).

DESIGNED FOR A LONG LIFETIME

The pump housing is splash-proof from all directions as per protection type IPX4 and made of impact-resistant plastic as well as of metal coated with protective paint. The high-quality face seal, the two robust metal threads at the suction and pressure side, the maintenance-free aluminium winding motor featuring a high corrosion resistance and the integrated thermal protection circuit that prevents overheating all ensure a long lifetime of the domestic water supply system.

Simple operation

Particularly convenient application is facilitated by the large inlet opening for easy filling of the pump and the practical on/off switch at the side of the pump. If the domestic water supply system is not used all year, it is essential to drain all water from the pump housing prior to storing it away for the winter. For this purpose the TGP 1025 E is fitted with a water drain screw through which the housing can easily be emptied so as to protect the pump from potential frost damage. For permanent stationary application the domestic water supply system can be firmly affixed via bore holes in the pump foot.

Functional principle of the pressure tank

The pressure compensation tank plays a vital role in the automatic water supply using our domestic water supply systems. The larger the dimensions of the pressure tank, the less frequently will the pump need to switch on. Consequently, the water reserve within the pressure tank avoids the unnecessary starting of the pump when withdrawing only small quantities such as a glass of water. The larger the tank, the more fluid does it hold and the less frequently will the pump need to switch on. Only a few calculations will help you determine the performance capability of the respective domestic water supply system required for a specific application purpose or a planned installation. The two decisive factors are the required delivery head and flow rate.

The necessary pressure can be included via a simple conversion into the delivery head. First, you need to calculate the required flow rate, i.e. the maximum water consumption, based on the following specifications:

Example: If one installation shall be sufficient for the simultaneous water supply for one washing machine (10 l/min), one dishwasher (8 l/min), one bath tub (15 l/min) and two sprinklers (2 x 10 l/min = 20 l/min): Sum up the corresponding consumption values – in this example we end up with 53 litres per minute. The ultimately required flow rate always corresponds to 40 % of the calculated result. This means, the actually required flow rate in our example amounts to 21.2 litres per minute. Now multiply this value by 60 and the obtained product indicates the amount of water required each hour: 1,272 l/h.
