Effective virus air purification: Model variants and special solutions

TAC high-performance air purifiers – professional Trotec solutions for virus filtration and air pollution control

Trotec high-performance air purifiers: TAC XT, TAC V+, TAC M, TAC ECO and TAC Basic

No other method than the HEPA high-performance filter technology provides "as much clean air for quickly diluting the aerosol clouds" with increased safety for the optimum price/clean air ratio!

To ensure that you're always provided with the precisely-tailored Trotec solution for effective virus filtration of the room air, exactly adapted to your individual safety requirement, in addition to the high-performance air purifier TAC V+ our range of products contains further model variants and special solutions.

To help you integrate the TAC V+ into the respective application environment, in addition to the standard colour yellow, this device is also available painted in the colours basalt grey, white or bronze.

Moreover, a stainless steel version is available for the use in hygiene-sensitive areas – and for virus air filtration in large halls we can offer you the special model TAC V+ Dual for wall or ceiling mounting, which blows out clean air to both sides.

Mobile or stationary: HEPA-filtered clean air wherever it is needed

TAC high-performance air purifiers are all guarantors for clean, filtered and pure air. And the configuration options of this air cleaner series are just as variable as the individual requirement situation on site. In addition to the mobile version, all TAC high-performance air purifiers can also be supplied as stationary tower versions. While the mobile version offers you maximum flexibility for situational room and location changes, the stationary tower version convinces with HEPA-filtered clean air at a fixed installation site. All versions have an optimised housing design in common, which fits stylishly and discreetly into any living environment.

Housing versions of the TAC high-performance air purifiers

Stylish design – unrivalled quietness

Whether it's the stylish design housing of the tower version or the conveniently transportable mobile variant, both versions use the same air purification technology. Whichever exterior you prefer, the interior is always 100 % the TAC high-performance air purifier of your choice.

While the mobile versions TAC V + and TAC M are delivered with an installed blow-out tower as standard, the mobile version of the TAC ECO and the stationary tower versions are with a ceiling-facing exhaust hood. Only the TAC V+ is supplied with a blowing-out tower instead of a discharge hood as standard. This also applies to the tower version due to the thermal decontamination function of the device.

All models – whether mobile or stationary – have been subjected to an elaborate sound insulation concept and are now equipped with an integral silencer on the suction side as standard equipment. All in all, this makes the new TAC generation hardly noticeable in everyday use.

Compared to competitive stationary models, the tower version of the TAC is 50 % smaller and 50 % lighter, yet more robust – and 100 % more stylish. Due to the integrated furniture castors, the stationary tower version of the TAC is far easier to move than other stationary air cleaners.

Variable configuration options – custom-fit application possibilities

All TAC high-performance air purifiers can be adapted to suit your individual on-site room situation. For high ceilings, the discharge level can be increased variably by installing one or two optional FlowExtender Silence+. Increased discharge level, reduced noise level: Each of these accessory spacers increases the height of the room air cleaner by 50 cm and additionally enables sound insulation of the discharge air flow by approx. 2 to 3 dB.

100 % TAC V+ on the outside, modified to meet your requirements on the inside: Model variants TAC M, TAC ECO and TAC BASIC

High-performance air purifier TAC V+ – the original for virus-filtered clean air including thermal decontamination
High-performance air purifier TAC M – TAC V+-like virus-filtered clean air
High-performance air purifier TAC ECO – virus-filtered clean air, manually adjusted
High-performance air purifier TAC Basic – the best basis for virus-filtered clean air

The model variants TAC M, TAC ECO and TAC BASIC are the perfect combination of the scientifically confirmed effective H14 HEPA virus filtration of the TAC V+ and your individual economic requirements, without having to forego any basic equipment features of the high-performance air purifier TAC V+.

The criteria for an effective virus air cleaner required by science are:

  • The device must have a sufficiently large volumetric flow. at least six times the room volume per hour
  • The device must be technically capable of removing 99.995 % of the viruses in the course of one air cycle, as can be ensured by an H14 HEPA filter complying with EN 1822
  • The device must be quiet so that it does not disturb people inside the room, otherwise there is a risk of the device being switched off by the user

All these criteria are fully met not only by the TAC V+, but also by the TAC M, TAC ECO and TAC BASIC. This is why the air cleaners TAC M, TAC ECO and TAC BASIC are our best recommendation if you want to do without the full equipment of the TAC V+, but not without effective H14 HEPA virus filtration from Trotec "made in Germany".

Since the high-performance air purifiers TAC M and TAC ECO do not have a function for thermal decontamination and filter regeneration, they can also be used in areas which, due to electrical protection, only permit automated thermal decontamination to a limited extent. Consequently, the devices come without the added value of thermal room decontamination – maximum hygiene and safety –, which is offered by the TAC V+ through cyclic heat inactivation and thermal filter self-cleaning for longer filter lifetimes.

TAC M – TAC V+-like virus-filtered clean air

Being equipped with a programmable touch display incl. USB update function just like the TAC V+, the TAC M offers you convenient configuration options. Furthermore, you also benefit from the integrated FlowMatic control for a constant air volume flow at any power level with the TAC M. On request, the TAC M can be ordered in all colours available for the TAC V+.

TAC ECO – virus-filtered clean air, manually adjusted

The TAC ECO is the perfect reduction of the TAC V+ to its essential virus filter qualities with an H14 HEPA filter standard according to EN 1822. Once manually configured, you also benefit automatically from virus-filtered clean air in your rooms with the TAC ECO – thanks to the silent function of the TAC V+ and TAC M which can also be switched on and off with a flip switch. The TAC ECO is only available in light grey.

TAC BASIC – the best basis for virus-filtered clean air

With the exception of the filter change indicator, the TAC BASIC comes with all the basic functions of the TAC ECO, but is only available as a stationary tower version which can also be used as a mobile device thanks to the installed furniture castors.

Multi air handler TAC XT

For expanded fields of application of the TAC V+ beyond air pollution control, the multi air handler TAC XT was developed.

The multi air handler TAC XT is based on the same assembly as the TAC V+, which is why it is provided with an identical HEPA air purification function with filter class H14 and a filter efficiency of 99.995 %.

In addition, the multi air handler TAC XT can also be used for combined room heating as well as thermal pest control and thermal decontamination of viruses, for example for decontamination of sanitary facilities, dressing rooms, etc. during the night, or for the flexible, reliable decontamination of respiratory masks and disposable PSA equipment for multiple use.

Sound protection caps

The sound protection caps help to further reduce the sound level, especially the frequencies perceived as annoying. This causes a significant reduction in the perceived overall volume level. Recommended for use in noise-sensitive areas such as schools, offices or medical practices. The sound protection caps available in a set of 2 can be mounted either on one or on both sides of any TAC high-performance air purifier.

Flowstop shutter

Flowstop shutters

The flowstop shutters can be attached to one or two of the four insides of the blowing-out tower. This prevents the respective tower side from discharging air, e.g. if air purification is not desired on the respective side or if the device is positioned in front of a wall.

Manipulation protection

Manipulation protection

This transparent cover of the control panel prevents unauthorised direct access to the control panel or touch display, which is recommended for use in schools or daycare centres.

FlowExtender Silence+ for variably increasing the discharge height

FlowExtender Silence+

Optionally, one to two FlowExtender Silence+ can be mounted underneath the blowing-out tower, thus increasing the discharge position of the air outlets by 50 cm each. In addition, the FlowExtender Silence+ causes a sound reduction of approx. 3 dB.

Stainless steel version for hygiene-sensitive areas

The high-performance air purifier TAC V+ as well as the multi air handler TAC XT are optionally also available in stainless steel design, which is ideally suited for the use in areas with specific hygiene requirements or especially reactive atmospheres.

The stainless steel housing is easy to clean and manufactured of the material 1.4301, which features a very high corrosion resistance and which is particularly resistant to various chemical solutions.

TAC V+ Dual for virus filtration in large halls

For virus-free air purification of even very large hall areas we recommend using the TAC V+ Dual. This special model that blows out clean air on both sides offers you all advantages of the TAC V+ basic model, including the unique thermal filter decontamination and regeneration function.

With its high-pressure fan and the special filter equipment, the effectiveness of which has been proven, the Dual design, which draws in air at the floor side and blows it out on two sides, makes it possible to extensively flush even spacious hall areas with virus-free, filtered clean air.

C profiles integrated on both sides allow you to flexibly mount the TAC V+ Dual on the ceiling or wall, in the process of which you can also remove the control panel of the TAC V+ from the unit and attach it near the floor by cable, for example on mounting columns or the hall wall, also making it possible to easily control the high-performance air purifier from a distance even if the TAC V+ Dual has been mounted at a great height.

With the stainless steel version you can even use the TAC V+ Dual, which is available with a variety of clean air capacities on request, in hygiene-sensitive areas without any restrictions. Just contact our experts, we would be happy to advise you personally.
