Naturally effective evaporation cooling that pays off
The energy-efficient honeycomb cooling technology of the air coolers PAE 80 / PAE 81 is something you know from nature. Once a fresh breeze blows over damp skin, you immediately feel a pleasant cooling sensation. This cooling effect is caused by evaporation. The thermal energy required for this is withdrawn from the room air, which causes the temperature to drop noticeably. All air coolers of the PAE series make use of this natural cooling principle with their cold water or ice water filling. Once the room air flows through the humid honeycomb filters, it is cooled down as thermal energy is withdrawn. Then, the air is humidified with cold or ice-cold water to be freed from annoying dust and animal hair in the air filter afterwards and to be finally emitted into the room as an icy fresh air current. No chemicals, no power-consuming cooling compressors and no disturbing exhaust air hoses are used in this process.
The hotter the summer, the more intense the cooling effect
Unlike air conditioners with cooling compressors, which sooner or later reach their performance limits at record temperatures, the cooling capacity of the PAE 80 and PAE 81 even increases as temperatures rise. The warmer the room, the faster the water evaporates inside the honeycomb filter and the more evaporation heat is withdrawn from the air. So you can always rely on the cooling capacity of the air cooler to keep up with outside temperatures.
An unbeatable team: available in two colours and performance classes
With an impressive air flow rate of 1,000 m³/h and a generous 60-litre water tank, the air coolers PAE 80 and PAE 81 are recommended for use in rooms sized up to 80 m² or 200 m³. Increasing the humidity level to 50 % reduces the risk of transmission of viruses
Medical specialists have evaluated research findings relating to the resistance of viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), influenza) to air humidity. These findings have revealed that the humidity level has a crucial impact on the infectivity of germ droplets. Dry room air with a relative humidity content of less than 40 % lets tiny droplets infected with influenza or cold viruses dry up. This preserves pathogens so that they remain infectious for a very long time. In the optimum relative humidity range between 40 and 60 % aerosols only shrink so far that the salt concentration in the aerosol core increases, causing the germs and microorganisms contained to be killed. This minimizes the risk of an infection with influenza and cold viruses.
Medical specialists emphasize that we are able to reduce the risk of infection by increasing the humidity level in buildings. In this way, increasing the humidity level to approx. 50 % by humidification will reduce the risk of transmission. Moreover, the humidified air improves the body's defence situation by more efficient cleaning of the air passages and an improved immune defence. In modern buildings with a watertight building envelope, central heating and ventilation systems, these limit values can often not be complied with in everyday life without active humidification. This is where devices with a humidification function come in to provide assistance.
Three times improved feel-good climate: cools, refreshes and humidifies
The combined air improvement through cooling, air purification and humidification guarantees an optimally balanced indoor climate. In addition, the PAE 80 / 81 strengthens the body's own immune defence. Infectious viruses such as flu viruses and SARS-CoV-2 sometimes remain suspended in the room for several hours in dry heating air. On top of this, the nasal mucous membranes, which are actually meant to repel pathogens, are drying out. In optimally humidified air (40 to 60 percent), viruses drop to the floor faster, and the cleaning performance of the nasal mucous membrane is also improved. As a mobile humidifier, the PAE 80 / PAE 81 impresses all year round with its powerful humidification performance of 2.8 l/h to constantly keep the humidity level in a healthy range. If required, the air cooler can also be used as a fan throughout the year without the air cooling and humidification function. To either distribute the refreshing air flow in a targeted manner or over a large area in the entire room depending on the application, the cooling unit has an on-demand 120° swing mode of the inner vertical air outlet fins to provide for large-scale cold air distribution. The outer horizontal fins can be adjusted manually according to your needs.
Integrated permanent water connection for continuous commercial use
Whether for cooling or for air humidification – the integrated permanent water connection of the two air coolers PAE 80 / PAE 81 is particularly practical for continuous commercial use. The professional air coolers can be connected to the water line with a standard hose. This allows them to run continuously without having to refill the tank in between. The water supply via the hose is regulated fully automatically by a float switch included in the scope of delivery. The float switch and hose are child's play to assemble, no installer or tools are required.
Turns anything you've seen before upside down: great cooling performance, small storage space
The PAE 80 / 81 shows true greatness in the smallest of spaces during storage and transport. The upper part of the device can simply be detached with just one movement of both hands and inserted into the water tank upside down. This reduces the height of the device to 70.5 cm, making it fit into a cupboard. Equally practical are the ergonomically shaped recessed handles, which allow the air cooler to be carried comfortably from one room into another.
For extra comfort: 15-hour timer for auto switch-on and switch-off
The programmable timer, which is used to switch the air cooler on or off fully automatically after an individually preset time, is even useful in two ways. It saves you unnecessary electricity costs and you will never have to worry about whether you have actually switched the device on or off again. The operating time until auto switch-on or switch-off can be set from 1 to 15 hours in increments of 1 hour. This is particularly convenient at the workplace to cool down the office to pleasant temperatures even before the working day begins. The timer is also useful when the air cooler unfolds its soothing effect in the bedroom. The cool sea breeze of the air cooler lulls you to sleep without sweating. Afterwards, the device switches off until the next morning to save power.

Natural cooling principle
In contrast to air conditioners air coolers do not make use of any chemical cooling agents. The cooling effect is generated in a natural manner. Moreover, neither an exhaust air hose nor any elaborate installations are required.
A mobile air cooler works on the principle of natural evaporation cooling. As you probably know from your own experience, blowing on moist skin creates an instant feeling of refreshment as the evaporation process withdraws warmth. Air coolers work in the same way: inside the air cooler, there is a filter mat soaked with water. The warm air is directed from the rear of the device through the wet filter mat and in passing is cooled down due to the evaporation effect. The now colder air is then blown back into the room by the fan.
Tip for refreshment: The colder the water, the greater the cooling capacity. Placing the four ice packs included in the scope of delivery into the water tank will further increase the cooling capacity. This additional boost of freshness can also be achieved with ice cubes.
The clearly visible filling level indicator shows you at a glance whether the large and quick- and easy-to-clean 60-litre tank still contains enough water. When the water tank is empty, the water pump switches off automatically while the fan keeps running for air freshening. With an LED lighting up and an acoustic signal being emitted the device signals that the water tank needs to be refilled. There are 3 different options of filling the tank easily and conveniently.
Can be operated all year round – air cooler in the summer, humidifier in the winter
With the PAE 80 / PAE 81 you can enjoy mobile feel-good climate throughout the year. We recommend using the slim air cooler in space-saving design throughout the year rather than parking it in a storeroom when the summer ends. In the spring and late summer its 4 fan stages can provide a fresh breeze so that you can enjoy the cooling effect of the cold evaporation.

Since dry heated air can irritate the respiratory tract, dry out the skin and cause red eyes. Moreover, the multiplication of viruses within the room air is reduced at a humidity level of 40 – 60 %. The entirely self-dosing SecoSan ion reservoir keeps the water demonstrably free from germs. The stick thus guarantees clean water for up to 6 months even if the water is changed or consumed daily.
Using air coolers as humidifiers during the wintertime
Air coolers are most effective in rooms filled with dry air. Just like humidifiers these devices operate based on the evaporation principle, i.e. they directly supply the air with cool moisture. This means that for process-related reasons the humidity level in the room is increased perceptibly. During the winter this increase of humidity is beneficial to the mucous membranes. As a result you might be able to avoid catching a cold that is largely caused by the dry heated air.
