Deep well pump TDP 370 E
High-performance 700 W stainless steel pump transports up to 5,100 l/h of clear water from depths of up to 40 m
FREE WELL WATER INSTEAD OF EXPENSIVE TAP WATER
No life without water – which makes it a precious natural resource. And if you are one of the lucky ones to have a well or water shaft on your property, you should also use this water for irrigation or at certain consumption points in the house. This is not only significantly cheaper than the water from local utility companies, but also protects the environment. By means of the stainless steel deep well pump TDP 370 E, a cost-saving service water supply will be a piece of cake. Thanks to the impressive capacity of 700 W and a submersion depth of max. 20 metres, the pump transports up to 5,100 litres of water per hour from a depth of up to 40 metres (max. delivery head) from wells, water reservoirs, cisterns or drainage shafts.
By the way: As the name suggests, deep well pumps are designed for delivering water from great depths. Trotec offers various deep well pumps for delivery heads between 40 m and 93 m.
Using available natural resources
Whether for an inexpensive water supply for your kitchen garden during summer, for operating lawn sprinkler systems or for watering flowerbeds and potted plants – there are many opportunities for using self-obtained service water. The stainless steel dirt strainer in the TDP 370 E deep well pump filters out any existing solid and suspended particles from the water. This way, the pumped clear water can be easily used for cleaning purposes or as complementary supply for domestic water utilisation, e.g. for washing machine or as toilet flush water.
DRINKING WATER IS A PRECIOUS RESOURCE
If you open the tap in kitchen or bathroom, you'll immediately get fresh drinking water. However, did you know that it takes many steps until water becomes purified drinking water? Suspended matter and particles causing turbidity must be removed, the water must be chemically purified and sterilised, iron and manganese have to be filtered out, the water's hardness must be reduced or increased, the water has to be desalinated, water samples must be taken, analyses have to be performed and so on. The expensive and work-intensive effort is justified, since it's about health and the water is for human consumption. However, it doesn't need all these steps to water your garden or to flush a toilet. Free well water surely is the better alternative for these purposes, but also for wallet and environment!
Trotec's deep well pumps are highly efficient submersible pressure pumps which – due to their special design and high-quality technology – can be used in drilled wells with a minimum diameter of 15 centimetres. For the unproblematic water transport from great depths the standard equipment contains a connection cable of 23 metres length and suspension eyes for lowering the pump into wells, cisterns, drainage shafts or similar. Like all submersible pressure pumps our deep well pumps, too, are optionally suited for either fixed installation or the mobile application at various sites.
Saving tip:
In the long run self-pumped water saves money. The investment for installing a well in your own garden (if not already present) will quickly redeem itself over the course of only a few years – depending on the individual usage intensity. Specialized well builders can help you in the planning and construction phase of your own garden well.
TOO PRACTICAL, EVEN PROVIDED WITH PLUG & PLAY SOLUTION
The 23 m underwater cable reliably supplies the compact pump with electricity and can be immediately used thanks to the Plug & Play operation. Moreover, the pump housing of the TDP 370 E is provided with two suspension eyes at the top of the device. These allow you to conveniently lower the pump into the water to be conveyed. The optionally available spacer foot that can be mounted enables to set the deep well pump into the prepared indentation in the ground, e.g. in drainage shafts or wells. However, the bottom of the well must be clean and free from dirt in this case.
Modern technology for top manufacturing
The TDP 370 E is made from premium-quality materials to allow for a long service life. The robust pressure connection with brass insert and the stable housing made of stainless steel protect the maintenance-free copper motor in continuous underwater application in frost-free months. The deep well pump comes equipped with a stainless steel dirt strainer that provides protection against the contamination with particles from a size of 1.8 mm (based on a solids content of 0.15 % in one tonne of water). Moreover, it is provided with a check valve with backflow preventer and a thermal protection circuit activated by overheating of the device.
SLIM HOUSING, HIGH PERFORMANCE
A maximum delivery head of 40 metres, a submersion depth of up to 20 metres and a high pressure of max. 4 bar make the pump ideal for a clear water withdrawal from great depths. Thanks to its compact and slim design, the TDP 370 E can even be used in narrow bore holes with a minimum diameter of 150 mm.
Focus on quality and safety
Certainly, combining electronics and water requires extreme caution. This is the reason why the TDP 370 E offers watertight encapsulation in accordance to the latest standards and IPX8 type of protection. It is suitable for continuous underwater use. With the TDP 370 E you are always on the safe side. The operational safety of the pump was tested by the inspection authority TÜV Rheinland. For a smooth operation, the deep well pump has to be completely submerged in the pumping medium. However, a minimum distance of 50 cm to the ground should be maintained in order to protect the pump from potential deposits at the bottom of the well.
Special equipment features of the TDP 370 E
Finding a suitable deep well pump that meets your individual requirements
The water consumption of a lawn sprinkler depends on the hose diameter and the feed pump's water pressure.
Here is a rule of thumb for determining at least an approximate water demand: A customary lawn sprinkler needs roughly 800 to 1,200 litres of water per hour*
*depending on the water pressure
The further up the deep well pump has to transport the water, the lower will be the water pressure and the maximum flow rate in litres per hour. For this reason you should make sure the pump you choose is sufficiently dimensioned. Calculate the anticipated water demand and then decide in favour of the TDP deep well pump that best meets your individual requirements.
The deep well pump TDP 5500 E transports up to 6,000 litres per hour which – depending on the delivery head – is sufficient for the simultaneous water supply of several sprinklers.
If you want to make use of a smaller number of sprinklers, but they are located further away from the well, we recommend the deep well pump TDP 7500 E – it achieves a delivery head of up to 93 metres. With a flow rate of 4,800 litres per hour it also permits a sufficient pressure level for the parallel operation of several lawn sprinklers.
The ideal supplement: Pressure switch for automatic pump control
With an electronic pressure switch you can control your water pump automatically without having to switch the pump on or off manually. The pressure switch monitors both the water pressure and the flow rate in the pipe and switches the pump connected on and off automatically when the tap or garden hose is used. In addition, the pressure switch protects the pump against running dry and in this way extends its service life. For our garden pumps of the TGP series we recommend using the electronic pressure switch TDP DSP as a convenient Plug & play solution. With their integrated mains power socket the Trotec garden pumps can be easily connected to the pressure switch using a mains plug. For Trotec's deep well pumps of the TDP series we offer the pressure switch TDP DS. Its open cable end is connected directly to the control box of the deep well pump and the pressure switch can control the water delivery automatically. Also choose reliable Trotec brand quality when you need a pressure switch!
