Cross line laser BD6A
Precise alignment and working made easy – high accuracy, 10 m range, 3 projection modes + multi-function mount (optional)
Working faster and more accurately with laser precision
The cross line laser BD6A is the digital equivalent of the good old spirit level, but much more precise and easier to handle. Being a universal precision instrument for craftsmen, do-it-yourselfers and technicians, the equally compact and robust BD6A impresses with its excellent features, three projection modes (cross lines, horizontal line, vertical line) and immediate readiness for use thanks to battery operation (2 x 1.5 V AA). Using the lock switch, you can also project oblique lines or crosses, e.g. for parallel alignment on stairs. All functions can be used intuitively thanks to its user-friendly two-button operation.
Manifold application options in the house and on the construction site
Perfect laser lines, easy operation and a high degree of versatility make the cross line laser BD6A, which is protected against dust and splash water as per IP54 type of protection, an indispensable aid for mounting, decorating, wallpapering, renovating and building. The BD6A can be used to align pictures on a wall exactly at right angles on a horizontal or vertical line, to lay tiles in a strict grid or to position wall cabinets accurately. In drywall construction, the self-levelling laser beam replaces the inconvenient use of a chalk line. And if you want to drill holes with pinpoint accuracy, the laser crosshairs of the BD6A mark the exact point where to start drilling.
Accurately aligned laser lines with high luminosity
Immediately after switch-on, the BD6A projects its laser lines onto the opposite wall, floor or ceiling. A particularly convenient feature is the integrated self-levelling function – the projected lines are always one hundred percent straight, even if the surface is slightly uneven. The automatic levelling mode of the BD6A automatically compensates for unevenness of the ground up to an inclination of 3.5° and calibrates itself accordingly. If the inclination is greater, a flashing laser line on the BD6A signals the user that the unevenness cannot be compensated. This way, you can always be sure that your laser line is perfectly straight.
The red laser lines have a range of up to 10 metres and are clearly visible on walls even in daylight. With a tolerance of only ± 3 mm at a distance of 10 m, the projection can be described as extremely precise. With the separately available universal mount, the cross line laser can be attached almost anywhere using the clamp or suction cup, and can be adjusted to any position using the ball joints.
Optionally available: universal tripod for cross line laser, measuring devices and cameras
The universal telescopic tripod from Trotec, which can be ordered separately, has a commercially available 1/4" (6.35 mm) standard screw connection. This allows you to simply screw your cross line laser onto the tripod and position it optimally in the room. Simply extend the telescopic segment of the tripod to the desired height and fix it in place. The 3-legged construction guarantees secure footing. Furthermore, the universal tripod can also be used e.g. for photo and video cameras as well as a variety of measuring devices.
Outstanding technology, robust design
Despite the latest laser class 2 technology, the BD6A is so easy to use that not only experienced craftsmen can benefit from its practical advantages. Even occasional do-it-yourselfers with less experience can use the BD6A to create perfectly aligned auxiliary laser lines on the first try, facilitating a wide range of jobs. Weighing just 316 g, the cross line laser is barely the size of a Rubik's cube and therefore extremely mobile, can be stowed in any tool bag and, thanks to battery operation, is immediately ready for use at any time and in any place. The BD6A is also ideally suited for use in harsh work environments.
With the help of the multi-function mount, which can be ordered as an option, the BD6A can be attached to almost any object and to a large variety of surfaces without causing damage. A ¼-inch thread is integrated in the bottom of the BD6A's housing, enabling the use of commercially available tripods. In addition, the mount is fitted with a practical universal clamp for boards, table edges and window sills as well as an extra strong suction cup. This makes it easy to attach and use the measuring device even in difficult places where clamps and tripods fail – for example on windows, mirrors or other smooth surfaces.

- Cross line laser BD6A
- Operating manual
Always at (the) right angles – quickly and easily
To protect the laser technology, the cross line laser has a switch on the side to securely fix the position of the laser during transport. When the measuring device is switched on, the light-intense cross line laser is ready for use within seconds, automatically levels itself and then projects precisely aligned laser lines onto the opposite wall, floor or ceiling with an impressive accuracy of only ± 3 mm/10 m.
Horizontal, vertical and freely positionable laser lines
Depending on the application, the horizontal and vertical laser lines can be switched on and levelled separately as positioning aids or together as cross lines (crosshairs) at the touch of a button. Moreover, in addition to perpendicular projection, the BD6A can also easily project oblique laser lines, for example to hang up pictures parallel to a banister or to mount a handrail at a constant distance from the stairs. The sophisticated device design with smooth sides allows you to place the BD6A flat against the respective wall.
The cross line laser BD6A replaces cumbersome handling of a spirit level and pencil with laser-assisted precision. Precise working made easier than ever before!
