IDE Oil heater fans

Space heater and sensational bargain in one – the reliable, cost-effective solution for typical oil heating applications on construction sites, in halls and workshops or in agriculture.

Thanks to their durable housing made of doubly coated material, these oil heater fans are optimally prepared for outdoor heating applications.
The large air outlet ensures a maximum expansion of warm air with high efficiency, which is 100 % with the directly fired models. Directly fired IDE oil heater fans (D) are ideally suited for the outdoor use or in well-ventilated interior spaces. The indirectly fired IDE devices can additionally be used to heat enclosed spaces when employing the optionally available flue gas discharge.
The reliable, economic alternative for mobile heating needs.

Whether direct or indirect – Trotec’s IDE series offers you maximum heating power for any heating applications at all times

IDE direct oil heaters – 100 % heating power for outdoor areas

The direct oil heaters of the IDE series are optimally suited for outdoor use, e.g. for heating outdoor construction sites and agricultural areas, or for use inside well-ventilated interior spaces, for they emit 100 % of the heat they produce. Hence, direct heaters also have no chimney. Or in other words, this process yields a heating power efficiency of 100 %.

In a directly heated system the fan blowing out the heated air also brings along combustion air.

First, fuel is atomised, ignited and burned in the combustion chamber. Then the hot gases are admixed to the main air current of the fan in accurate proportions.

In addition to heat, direct heaters thus also emit combustion gases directly into the room. For this reason, they are unsuitable for poorly ventilated, closed rooms used by people or animals.

Since plenty of moisture is released during combustion, direct heaters should never be used for construction drying.

IDE indirect oil heaters – maximum heating power, clean warmth

The indirect oil heaters of the IDE series are ideally suited for rooms in which ventilation is only possible to a certain extent, but which still are to be used by people and animals. They are also a good choice for speeding up construction drying as well as in rooms where there is a fire hazard due to combustible substances.

In case of indirect heaters, the air to be heated is completely isolated from the combustion chamber.

The air is heated while flowing past the enlarged area of the combustion chamber, the heat exchanger. To be sure, the fan blowing out warm air also provides the required combustion air, but the combustion products are led away into the open air through a chimney.

Thus, in order to obtain both clean and dry warmth, we recommend using an indirect heater.

Unlike direct heaters, they do not emit any combustion products or water vapour into the room air, provided that the optionally available flue gas discharge is used.

Model-specific equipment differences

For a need-based temperature adjustment, the IDE devices are equipped with an integrated thermostat, either as an analogue version ➄ or as an electronic version with additional dual display of the nominal and actual value ➃, depending on the model.

Moreover, all IDE device are fitted with a connection for an external thermostat ➅ allowing you to measure and control the temperature at a distance of up to 25 metres from the place to be heated (thermostat optionally available).

To ensure constant firing of the stainless steel combustion chamber, the fuel supply of many IDE devices is effected by means of a high-quality Danfoss® injection pump ➆.
