The BE14 is a non-contact phasing tester enabling not only the quick localization of line breaks in exposed cables, e.g. in cable reels or fairy lights, but also detects all live conductors such as sockets, switches or cable links.
Owing to the capacitive measurement method, the voltage test can be effected quickly and easily without contact.
As soon as there is voltage present in the measuring tip's localization range, the red LED glow lamp starts to pulse accompanied by an additional acoustic alarm.
Practical detail: Integrated at the clip end of the BE14 is an LED torch powerful enough to optimally illuminate dark measuring areas.
The BE14 ought to be found in the basic equipment of every handyman or craftsman carrying out work on live installations for quick testing.
