Professional oil heater fan IDS 900 for clean warmth on the spot

The most powerful oil heater model of the IDS series has been specially designed for heating individual halls or several rooms and is equipped with a flow-optimised combustion chamber of heat-resistant Inox stainless steel and with an especially powerful axial fan the seven-blade impeller of which ensures a high air flow rate and static pressure for a homogeneous diffusion of the warm air by the casing. By this combination, the IDS 900 achieves a thermal efficiency of 93 %.

The compact carriage design consists of a robust, epoxy-coated steel frame with a double-walled housing for optimum soundproofing and insulation, making the device work in a pleasantly quiet fashion, with a noise emission of only almost 67 db at a distance of 2 metres.

In order to maximise its versatility, the oil heater fan IDS 900 is delivered without an integrated fuel tank, which is why an external tank is required for automatic continuous heating, featuring a connecting option for the single-line heating system of the IDS 900 via quick-lock coupling.

An alternative to the fuel supply by an external tank is a pedestal oil tank with a capacity of 208 litres that is optionally available as an accessory part of the IDS 900, or furthermore oil pre-heating.

IDS indirect oil heater fans – maximum heating power, clean warmth

The indirect oil heater fans of the IDS series are ideally suited for rooms in which ventilation is only possible to a certain extent, but which are still used by people or animals. They are also a good choice for speeding up construction drying as well as in rooms where there is a fire hazard due to combustible substances.

In principle, the combustion process is identical to that of the IDS direct oil heater fans: The fuel is drawn from the tank by means of a pump, brought to operating pressure and in a final step is sprayed into the combustion chamber via an atomiser nozzle as an air-fuel mixture, where it is then burnt. In the case of indirect heaters, however, the air to be heated is fully isolated from the combustion chamber.

Although with indirect oil heater fans the air provided for heating is drawn by the same blower as the combustion air, it is yet guided separately past the increased surface of the combustion chamber, the heat exchanger, so as to be able to heat up there without being mixed with the flue gas in this process. Whereas the combustion products are discharged to the outside via a chimney, 100 % emission-free warm air is spreads through the outlet opening of the indirect oil heater fan.

Thus, in order to obtain both clean and dry warmth, we recommend using an indirect oil heater fan. In contrast to direct heaters, in this case neither combustion products nor released water vapour enters the room air if a suitable flue gas evacuation has been mounted on the device’s chimney, leading the flue gases outside of the room to be heated.

The IDS 900 offers a wide range of applications

The combination of mobile carriage design and a maximum rated heat output of 217 kW makes the indirect oil heater fan IDS 900 a versatile heating solution for a large variety of applications, for instance:

  • Spot heating of outdoor workstations and on construction sites in winter
  • Heating of stables
  • Heating of workshops, storage facilities, craft workshops, storage rooms
  • Heating and ventilation of tent and trade-show events
  • Keeping greenhouses warm

For interior heatings, the flue gas of the oil heater can be discharged from the room by mounting a flue gas pipe on the chimney of the IDS 900, which is then lead outside. If required, the combustion air can also be supplied to the burner from the outside by installing a piping on the combustion air inlet towards the outside, ensuring that fresh air is drawn in and the oxygen content in the room is not reduced.

Instead of large-volume air heating, the oil heater fan IDS 900 furthermore also allows for spot heating via hot air hose at the integrated hose connector. In addition, a two-way hose distributor for simultaneous spot heating of two workplaces is available as accessory part, just as a four-way hose adapter for simultaneous spot heating of four workplaces.

Below the hot air outlet with its connection facility for 700 mm air hoses there is the cover-protected burner housing the removable cover of which accommodates the combustion air inlet for the optional burner combustion air supply from the outside via pipe connection.

In addition to the oil venting function of the fuel supply and the burner unit, the burner housing accommodates a connection facility for an external thermostat by means of which the temperature can be measured and controlled at a location to be heated that is up to 10 metres away (a thermostat is optionally available).

Provided with push bars mounted at the front and rear and large transport wheels, the oil heater fan IDS 900 ensures maximum mobility. Integrated crane eyes allow for quick installation and easy transport.
Robust design for maximum mobility
The control lamps for voltage, the safety thermostat and burner operation are centrally mounted at the outside of the burner housing, so that trouble-free operation of the IDS 900 can be ensured at a glance.
