Our splash-proof (IP24) radiant ceiling heater IR 1550 SC, which is made of extremely weather-resistant aluminium, is recommended for continuous use in outdoor catering. Modern design combined with a robust construction make the radiant heater an ideal heating source for roofed seating and standing areas in the outdoor gastronomy of restaurants, cafés, bars, food trucks or events. This way the outdoor season starts earlier and ensures a noticeable increase in turnover for longer.
Heating and functional lighting at the same time
Two powerful halogen tubes with three heating levels (600 W / 900 W / 1500 W) always provide as much instant soothing heat as the location and purpose require. If required, four light-intense LED lamps can be switched on in addition (also possible without the heating function activated), thus turning the radiant ceiling heater into a functional work light or stylish accessory. The heating level and operating mode can be selected conveniently and easily via the handy infrared remote control.
Heating performance convincing all around
The 360° all-round heat radiated downwards by the 45 cm reflector umbrella can be felt within an area of 10 m². Unlike conventional convectors, the IR 1550 SC directly heats the skin instead of heating the ambient air first. The infrared heat is perceived as particularly pleasant and is immediately absorbed and stored by the skin. Thanks to this operating principle, the IR 1550 SC heats noticeably more intensively and more energy-efficiently than other heating technologies – and without unpleasant odours or noises. The radiant heater, which weighs only around 3.5 kg, is attached to the ceiling using the four steel fastening ropes (tension wire) included in the scope of delivery. A close-meshed grid protects the heating rods from curious children's fingers and accidental touching.

Summer temperatures 365 days a year
The infrared radiant ceiling heater is supplied with all attachment pieces required for quick and safe ceiling mounting. Power is connected without installation effort via a 1.70-m power cable with a shock-proof plug (CEE 7/7) for European sockets.
The scope of delivery includes:

Direct heat following the natural principle of the sun
The halogen heating tubes of the IR 1550 SC generate heat according to the natural principle of the sun. This is particularly energy-efficient, since a great deal of the energy input is converted directly into heat. The infrared radiant heater does not heat the ambient air, instead it is objects and persons in the immediate surroundings that absorb and store the warmth before they again release it to the environment in the form of secondary radiation. The heat is distributed by a fan that operates noiselessly and without raising dust, thus allowing even allergy sufferers and asthmatics to breathe freely the immediate vicinity of the radiant heater.

Optimum room temperature control with the socket thermostat BN30
Just install it in the socket and connect it to the heating or cooling device on the socket thermostat BN30, and you can have your heating or cooling unit automatically switched on and off by the BN30 depending on the temperature. The socket thermostat available as an accessory is individually adjustable within a temperature range from 5 °C to 30 °C.
Radio thermostat BN35 with timer switch for the socket
With the radio thermostat BN35 you can easily determine at which room temperature your heating or cooling unit will switch on or off using the remote control. The BN35 set consists of a radio-controlled socket and a radio thermostat. Simply plug the radio-controlled socket in between a wall outlet and your heating or cooling unit. Place the radio thermostat within approx. 20 metres in the place where the room temperature is to be measured. As an alternative, time-controlled regulation can also be carried out.
