Safely protected from rain and dust

How infrared heating works

Functional principle of infrared heating

Just like the natural radiation of the sun infrared radiation, too, does not heat the air, but the objects it encounters. These then permanently emit the stored thermal energy to the environment – much like a tiled stove.

That is the difference to conventional convection heating systems generating a continuous warm air flow. The air cannot, in principle, store the warmth itself, but can only transport it to objects, which on the one hand entails high energy losses and on the other – as a result of the air circulation – raises dust. Infrared heating completely avoids both.

Low-glare: Less light, more atmosphere

The infrared radiant heater is provided with a durable low-glare infrared tube with a reduced radiation of 80 % and an unchanged thermal efficiency, ensuring that your guests can enjoy the time outdoors without being dazzled and without annoying red light. By the red light reduction, a pleasant candle-light atmosphere is created – perfect for cosy and warm evenings under a starry sky.

The high-quality carbon infrared tube of the IRS 1200 E generates heat according to the natural principle of the sun. This is particularly energy-efficient, since a great deal of the energy input is converted directly into heat. The infrared radiant heater does not heat the air, but objects and persons in the immediate surroundings absorb and store the warmth before they again release it to the environment in the form of secondary radiation. This heat distribution that is based on a natural principle takes place quietly and without raising dust by a blower, in particular allowing asthmatics, allergy sufferers and persons with a sensitive respiratory tract to breathe freely.

Enjoy warmth without any fear of contact

In contrast to other heating solutions, the infrared radiant heater IRS 1200 E is especially safe. A closely-meshed metal grid around the carbon infrared heating tube provides protection against curious children’s fingers, accidental contact with legs or feet and cheeky furry friends. Furthermore, a high-quality velours coating reduces the surface temperature of the protective grid, ensuring that there’s no immediate risk even in the case of direct contact.

Stable and steady in every situation

If the atmosphere is exuberant with high-spirited guests, frolicking pets or playing children, the plate-shaped base (Ø 20 cm) ensures a secure stand. An additional tilt protection is provided by the optimised weight distribution with a deep centre of gravity of the device, making it almost impossible for the device to tip over. However, if the floor-standing radiant heater is knocked over inadvertently nevertheless, the integrated tilt protection off-switch will automatically deactivate the stable device.

After having mounted the foot easily and quickly, the infrared radiant heater IRS 1200 E just has to be installed and plugged in and you’re all set to enjoy the pleasant infrared warmth on your skin.
